The Vintage Racing Organization Of America is a club dedicated to preserving a form of circle track racing prevalent during the 1940's-1960's.The V.R.O.A. is modeled after the Ontario Amateur Racing Club (O.R.A.C.), commonly refered to as the Canadian Coupes. Street Rodding another hobby for the past 30 years consists of a 1928 Ford Model A. I purchased the car from a highschool friend, in 1969. At the time it was a drag racing car, but decided to change it to a streetrod.The Model A has a 1963 Ford 289 cid. engine with automatic transmission.It has been to shows as far away as Kansas City,Memphis Tenn. and numerous local events.All the work on the car was done at home including mechanical,body,paint and interrior,thanks to adult education courses like Auto Body and Upholstry classes. | |||||||||||||||||||
